THE ROUTE
Ten 60-minute expeditions shot across 2019: the Philippines, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Taiwan, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, India and Hong Kong — where the season closed on the 100 km MacLehose Trail, from Ham Tin Beach over Sharp Peak to Lion Rock. Premiered on Discovery Channel across Asia-Pacific in June 2020.
THE WORK
A three-person field unit — host, cinematographer, camera operator — delivering broadcast-hour 4K coverage at trekking pace. Landscape architecture on long lenses, verité story coverage on the move, aerials wherever the airspace allowed.
LOGISTICS
Ten countries' worth of carnets, filming permits and drone clearances in a single production year, from Kyrgyz high country to Hong Kong's geopark — the paperwork mapped before the flights, so no border ever cost a shoot day.
