THE ROUTE
The season the series broke out of Asia: eight one-hour expeditions across Tanzania, Morocco, China, the USA, Peru, Nepal, Italy and Oman. First season delivered in 4K, aired on BBC Earth in 2017.
THE WORK
Cinematography at altitude and across climates — desert light in Oman and Morocco, alpine weather in Italy, Andean and Himalayan trekking coverage — one visual language held across four continents.
LOGISTICS
Eight countries of expedition permits and peak fees, guide and porter teams per mountain, acclimatization schedules built into the shoot plan, and gear split between what summits and what stays — production management as much as photography.
THE MOUNTAIN DECIDES THE SCHEDULE. THE CAMERA JUST HAS TO BE READY.
