CONTEXT
A three-part Discovery Channel series produced with the China Intercontinental Communication Center, hosted by technologist Josh Klein: Smart Move, Smart Life and Smart Planet, premiering September 2016 in Discovery's Hour China block.
THE SUBJECTS
A tram that recharges in ten seconds, visible-light communication thousands of times faster than Wi-Fi, liquid-metal robotics, autonomous driving, farm-to-table food tracing and the world's cleanest coal plant — engineering filmed with the same appetite for atmosphere as any mountain.
LOGISTICS
Access clearances for research labs, factory floors and prototype vehicles across multiple Chinese cities, coordinated between an international crew and state co-production partners.
CHINA'S SMART REVOLUTION, FILMED FROM THE INSIDE.
